PROPOSE A SESSION FOR MCSS 2026

Are you ready to share your knowledge and expertise with social studies teachers throughout Minnesota? Of course you are!

We're accepting session proposals for our upcoming conference "Cultivating Civic Spaces: Foundations for a Thriving Democracy" in February 2026 at Macalester College in St. Paul.

"Cultivating Civic Spaces" is not just a theoretical idea; it is a practical foundation for democratic life. For the social studies community, it reaffirms the discipline’s mission. In schools, it nurtures future citizens. In communities, it strengthens democratic participation and cohesion. Supporting civic spaces means investing in the health, sustainability, and inclusivity of our democracy.
