  • If you are registering five or more people from one school district or organization at the same time, you are eligible for the group rate of $130 per person.
  • Please provide student ID, presentation topic, or organization retired from in the "additional information" field of the registration form.

MCSS Annual Conference

The annual MCSS conference is a professional development opportunity for Minnesota social studies teachers of all grade levels. The conference includes keynote speakers, engaging sessions on disciplines and strategies, vendors, and catered continental breakfast and lunch. This year's conference will be held at St. Cloud State University's Atwood Memorial Center on Monday, March 11, 2013.
Teacher of Year Gala & Awards Banquet

The Teacher of the Year Gala honors three outstanding social studies teachers, one at each of the elementary, middle and high school level. Attendees will enjoy a catered dinner, a keynote speaker, & a wonderful opportunity to network with other social studies educators.  Anyone is welcome to attend the event which will be held at Le St-Germaine Hotel in St. Cloud on Sunday, March 10, 2013. The hotel is located not far the St. Cloud State University, where the conference will be held the next day.

Registration deadline for the Gala closes at 9:00AM on Monday, March 4, 2013. 

Payment: You may pay online with a major credit card or bring a check or cash to registration on the day of the event. 

Cancellations: Full refunds will be issued for notifications of cancellation before Feb. 28, 2013.  No refund will be issued in the event of cancellation on or after March 1, 2013.

The MCSS Annual Conference is a professional development opportunity for Minnesota social studies teachers of all grade levels. The conference includes speakers and engaging sessions on disciplines and strategies. This year's conference will be held at the Minnesota HIstory Center in Saint Paul on Monday, February 26, 2024.

The Minnesota History Center will be open to exhibitors to set up starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024.

Dedicated exhibitor time for the conference attendees traditionally occurs after the first 3 sessions. More info to follow.

We also welcome exhibitors to network with leading educators from around that region at our Social Studies Social on Sunday evening, February 25, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. (Location - Minnesota Humanities Center). You can register for the Social along with your exhibitor registration.

**Exhibitors who would like to be included in the conference program must register by Friday, January 19, 2024.**

Exhibitor registration closes Friday, February 9, 2024.

Payment: You may pay online with a major credit card or send a check payable to MCSS to: Crystal Johnson, 10877 Jersey Circle North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. All exhibitor spaces must be paid by February 16, 2024.

Cancellations: Full refunds will be issued for notifications of cancellation received on or before February 9, 2024. No refund will be issued in the event of cancellation on or after February 9, 2024.
